Not sure if anyone else has seen the new sculpture on the roundabout on the new road just off the Chartist Bridge. It has been erected and paid for by the company that built the bridge, sort of figures though, it actually is very good. Unlike the other tat that litters the town that has been placed there by Caerphilly Borough.

Haven't seen it yet but think it's a great idea, and about time we embraced our rich history. Shame it couldn't go on the Blackwood side of the bridge though, really that's where it should be.
I actually like the sculptures in Blackwood. They've brought a really arty touch to the town. Good thread though - what do others think?

WOW!
Now I've seen the chartist sculpture and I love it! He's very imposing - makes a real statement, glistening in the sun, full stride! Very impressive. We can almost forgive him for being on the wrong side of the bridge! ;D
