I was wondering if anybody knows the name of the derelict church in Abercarn. Also if anybody know anything else about it.

Two West windows given by the late Councillor S. Pullin, in memory of his wife. Very fine carved oak pulpit and a font of local stone, both given by Mr. F. W. Brett, in memory of wife and children. A full description of the church is given in the Monmouth Diocesan Calendar, 1926, on page 219." JOHNS NEWPORT DIRECTORY 1939it was close in 1980 due to it being unsafe (and possibly unused). Shame.

Thanks Al. I used to see this church on my way to college through the trees and always wondered what the place actually looked like up close. Back a few months ago I visited the Church and could not believe the poor state of such a stunning building. It is such a shame that this building has come into such a terrible state. I suppose that the ramains will be demolished oneday. But what a stunning building!! Thanks again Al.
