Louise & I visited the Rock on Tredegar Road a while ago, and we both had the Steak. And very nice it was too. At the rock they give you time to have a drink before the meal comes to the table, also I have found that when you order your meal in some places, the food is with you almost straight away. Does this mean that they knew you were coming, and that they knew what you were going to order? With the Rock you know the food has been cooked fresh for you, not cooked earlier and then heated up.

Thanks for that Steve, I had heard that it was quite good under the new management so we'll give it a try - on your recommendation! Yes, it is nice to know that food is cooked for the guests and not reheated in the micro-wave...far too much of that is going on. Too much "Hippocampo" imho although the desserts are ok but it would be nice to have meals cooked by a chef and not just taken from the freezer ready prepared.
