Well what a stinking bank holiday! What did you get up to if anything? I stayed home and tried to keep 2 of my 3 kiddies amused, not an easy task.

HUH! This weather isn't just wet, it's thoroughly depressing!!
Took advantage of the fine weather on Saturday and did a fair amount of gardening, including a lovely slate and stone herb bed, carefully watched over by a wisened stone buddha! Sunday did the dreaded big food shop, and went for a meal at The Villagers (no, that was Saturday! see, all theweekend has merged into one now). Yesterday, oh how boring! Watched Wallace and Gromit - The Wrong Trousers, which was great to see again, and it was all down hill from there! Spent the entire day just reading and chilling. Played top trumps - my son drives me mad with them, he has loads of packs, which I won because I'm ashamed to admit, I cheated like a stink! Had a few games of the YES, NO game, which I love because hubby is sooo rubbish at, and it is always highly entertaining having a laugh at his expensive! It was a very long day, yesterday, but I suppose it gave us some quality family time.
Aren't you glad you asked?
Steve, are you growing veggies this year? As in vegetables, not vegetarians? ;D

Have to agree - as far as the weather goes - what a thoroughly depressing weekend. On a brighter note my daughter came home on Saturday morning as the family had a christening on Sunday and a party later so that was nice but she went back to London yesterday afternoon and I miss her . The weather was so windy I managed to dry quite a bit of washing on Friday and Saturday then the rain set in! Watched 2 DVD's I bought for a fiver each in Asda...One on Saturday night "The Devil Wears Prada" (OK) and then last night "Walk the Line" which I was disappointed in although parts were good...I loved Johnnie Cash's songs. Then I played a couple of games on the 'puter before going to bed, reading for half hour and then couldn't sleep because of the darn wind...blowing outside So...was hoping for bbq's etc but no show sun. Oh please summer...come back to us!

No Not This Year. I had my allotment taken off me last year because I did not want to use weedkiller. So, it was not just me then that had a quiet bank holiday?
